Summary meeting May 10/2016:
1. Marie gave me the letter of extended time of PhD approved by Max.
2. I had showed to Marie a summary of literature review about cognitive flexibility vs 21st century skills, cognitive flexibility in games. The conclusion was that cognitive flexibility is not exclusive of a 21st Century Skills and it is a precondition for develop the 21st Century Skills.
3. In the experiment we will answer the following: How to promote cognitive flexibility in children (high school)?
we will analyzed the rewards and RT (time-on-task)
4. I will design the first experiment with e-prime in this conditions:
A. Cognitive flexibility vs rewards (money): Group 1 (No rewards), group 2 (rewards increase, individual), group 3 (rewards increase, competition -raking) group 4 (rewards decreases, individual), group 5 (rewards decreases- competition -raking)
Special conditions: Same quantity boys-girls, Maximum 2 years of difference (eg. 12-14 years old), same class
I will design the second experiment with e-prime in this conditions:
B. Cognitive flexibility vs rewards (motion faces-mood): Group 1 (No rewards-individual), group 2 (rewards increase, individual), group 3 (rewards increase, competition -raking) group 4 (rewards decreases, individual), group 5 (rewards decreases- competition -raking)
Special conditions: Same quantity boys-girls, Maxime 2 years of difference (eg. 12-14 years old), same class
5. I proposed that a future experiment can evaluate design of the test affect cognitive flexibility, for example, a group has a scenario in black and white, the other group has robot animals.
6. I will look for a school to test the experiment.
Next meeting: on Tuesday, 17 May 2016.
